A domestic dispute between a couple took a violent turn on the Pattaya beachfront, shocking witnesses on the evening of February 21.
Upon receiving distress calls, authorities and rescue teams quickly responded to the scene, where they found a 53-year-old Thai man named Sommai seriously injured and bleeding heavily near a trash bin, a result of a heated altercation with his partner. Concerned onlookers gathered around him, offering assistance while awaiting medical help. Sommai was promptly taken to Pattaya City Hospital in Soi Buakhao for urgent treatment.
Witnesses provided detailed accounts of the incident, describing how the conflict began when Sommai, intoxicated and lying on the beach, was disturbed by his wife’s efforts to wake him. The situation escalated quickly with intense arguments before reaching a peak when his wife pushed him forcefully, causing him to collide with the garbage bin and sustain significant head injuries, as reported by Pattaya Mail. In a moment of frustration, she fled the scene before authorities could intervene.
