The owner of a construction material shop in Pattani’s Nong Chik district was shot dead on Thursday, police said.
Ismail Doloh, 33, was gunned down while riding his motorcycle on a village road in Moo 6 village in Tambon Don Rak in Nong Chik.
Police said the gunman was waiting roadside and fired at Ismail as he arrived at the spot.
Police have yet to determine whether the shooting was an insurgency act or a murder motivated by personal conflict.
