A 68-year-old Chinese woman tragically drowned in the swimming pool of her residence near Pattaya, Thailand, shocking the local community.
Emergency services were alerted by Pol. Lt. Siriyaporn Kongphetsak, Deputy Investigator of the Nongprue Police Station, and responded quickly. Upon arriving at the house near Mapprachan Reservoir in Banglamung district, Chonburi province, they confirmed the worst fears.
The victim, Ms. Zhang Weijing, was found floating face down in the pool. Despite swift recovery efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Early examinations revealed no signs of foul play or struggle, leading authorities to consider possible causes such as an accidental slip or a medical condition.
A neighbor, Mr. Yupha Jankeaw, reported that Ms. Zhang’s daughter discovered the body upon returning home at 7:30 PM after running errands. Distraught, she had left her mother alone earlier in the day.
