In order to avoid being duped, the state-run Transport Corporation has recommended bus users to only purchase tickets from ticket booths located in its bus terminals.
After an incident at the Sai Tai Mai bus terminal yesterday, where a bus passenger purchased a ticket to Nakhon Si Thammarat from a third party at the terminal, the advice was given today (Thursday). A violent argument ensued when the passenger later tried to return the ticket for a refund from the seller.
Also, the bus company requested that anybody selling bus tickets to customers at any terminal be reported to the police or security personnel.
According to Sanlak Panwatanalikit, managing director of Transport Company, Transport Company has installed CCTV and stationed security personnel at all bus terminals to ensure passenger safety.
