Two brothers have been arrested and 1.5 million methamphetamine pills and 3.3 kilogrammes of crystal meth seized in Bangkok’s Nong Chok district.
Ekarthit Daengsuk, 21, was arrested on Liab Khlong Song Road in Krathumrai area of Nong Chok district and his brother Ekmongkol Kue-sanoh, 27, at a house in Nong Chok district, Pol Lt Gen Samran Nuanma, commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said on Friday.
Mr Ekarthit, or Bas, was first detained, around 7.20pm on Thursday, with 4,000 speed pills.
He told police that his elder brother Ekmongkol, or Bank, had asked him to deliver the pills to a customer at the area, Pol Lt Gen Samran said during a media briefing.
The suspect then took the arresting team to his brother’s house in Lam Toi Ting area of the same district. Mr Ekmongkol admitted he had asked Mr Ekarthit to deliver the pills.
During questioning, the two suspects allegedly admitted they kept large quantities of drugs at a house at Amornsap housing estate in Nong Chok district, where Mr Ekarthit stayed.
Police found 1.5 million meth pills and about three kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine inside the house.
