Another British tourist has fallen to his death at the insensitively titled “Pattaya Flying Club” apartment complex in the tourist hotspot of Pattaya. According to his Thai caregiver, he was depressed after the death of his Thai boyfriend.
The death of a British man named Frederick Keith Adamson, age 89, was reported to the officers at the Mueang Pattaya Police Station. According to reports, the man jumped to his death from the balcony of his building on Soi Pra Tamnak 4.
Adamson’s body was found on the ground next to the outside pool on the fifth floor of the property when police arrived. He was naked except for his underwear, and his entire body was stained with blood. Adamson’s head and right leg were both bleeding badly.
Thai housekeeper Anansit, 57, claimed to investigators that he was nowhere near the room at the time of the attack on Adamson. He abandoned Adamson in the room and returned to find the horrible aftermath.
Anansit disclosed that Adamson had frequently stated a wish to end his life and had been moaning about it. Anansit claims that Adamson was born with a number of conditions, one of which was depression. After the death of his Thai boyfriend a few years ago, he began experiencing despair.
It became out that Anansit was the one who drove Adamson to the hospital. Adamson had to visit the hospital every day to have his chronic wounds attended to.
There were no evidence of a struggle when officers searched Adamson’s room. Police initially concluded that the death was a suicide but promised to interview Anansit as part of their investigation.
At the moment, the Police General Hospital in Bangkok is performing an autopsy on Adamson’s body.
