A nine-year-old girl in Chachoengsao province was killed in a horrific accident when she ended up hanging herself from curtains while playing with her siblings on July 11.
Their parents had stepped out to visit neighbours.
Meen’s siblings said she had covered herself with a door curtain pretending to be a ghost, when she tripped, and the curtain wrapped around her neck and lifted her off the ground.
When the parents returned to find the girl hanging from the curtain, they tried to resuscitate her before taking her to Bang Pakong hospital, but the girl could not be saved.
Supanee, the girl’s mother, said parents need to watch young children at all times as an accident can happen anywhere and at any time.
