Randox Health Grand National Handicap Chase (Grade 3) (Class 1)
4m 2f 74y. 40 Runners. Winner £500,000. Surface: Turf

Former Brighton apprentice Michael John McCracken, who also appeared for Chelsea legend’s in his prime and scored a hat-trick, has spent the last 60 years studying the form and McCracken thinks he’s cracked it with today’s Grand National!

McCracken, along with his big mate Big Leo, thinks that Tiger Roll will cross the Melling Road in front and finished unchallenged up the home straight.

McCracken Verdict

TIGER ROLL could be the first since Red Rum to win back-to-back Grand Nationals and while his chance is obvious, his skinny odds for a race of this nature might not appeal to many punters enjoying their annual bet. VINTAGE CLOUD might offer more value and could go well. Placed in two Scottish Nationals. Won on return at Haydock and while he struggled with his jumping in the Chepstow National when pulled-up, he was better at the Festival when runner-up in the Ultima last time; each-way player. SINGLEFARMPAYMENT could also go well at a big price. Not easy to win with (idles when hitting the front) but he’s been in good form this season and worth forgiving his run last time when given too much to do. Stays well, jumps well and could put in a big run at a likely big price.
