After drinking alcohol with friends in Chonburi, a Thai man crashed his motorcycle and died, becoming the province’s first casualty for the Seven Dangerous Days road-safety campaign.
At 03:40 a.m. yesterday, April 11th, local rescuers reacted to a traffic accident complaint on a bridge in the Bang Sai sub-district, Mueang district, Chonburi.
Mr. Yodpetch, a 22-year-old Thai guy, was discovered dead near his motorcycle. The victim had died as a result of a deadly head injury. A blood smear and human hair were discovered trapped on the concrete railing of the bridge.
Chonburi Police suspected that the man failed to handle a curve and crashed his motorcycle against a railing before collapsing and striking his head. Officers then phoned the victim’s sibling’s acquaintance, who stated that the victim had just consumed beer with him before leaving for a ride.
The friend, who requested anonymity, added that he then heard a rescue truck alarm and was stunned to find that Mr. Yodpetch had crashed his motorcycle and died. According to local media, the guy is Chonburi’s first casualty of the Songkran festival’s Seven Dangerous Days road-safety campaign.
