Pattaya police, along with tourist police, have apprehended two foreign nationals for aggressive begging following complaints from local restaurant owners. The suspects were discovered sleeping in an abandoned building in South Pattaya after allegedly harassing tourists at an Arab restaurant on Soi V.C. late at night. Lacking identification, they were identified via CCTV footage as part of a previously reported gang. Pattaya Tourist Superintendent, Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn, clarified that these individuals were not part of a mafia but were soliciting money from tourists, often under the influence of alcohol. Authorities are actively working to capture other gang members, vowing to prosecute and deport them to enhance public safety and restore community peace. The arrested individuals will face charges of illegal immigration and public disturbance prior to deportation.
