Child survives Train Truck Crash
A tragic train accident occurred on Tuesday in Chumphon when a pickup truck was struck at a railway crossing, resulting in the deaths of two adults, while a child was rescued alive from the wreckage.

According to Lamae police, the collision happened at around 10:30 a.m. when Special Express train No. 40, traveling from Surat Thani to Bangkok, hit the pickup 30 kilometers past Lamae station. The impact left the pickup crushed and overturned beside the tracks.

Both the man and woman in the vehicle were killed, while the child, though seriously injured, survived. All three were transported to Lamae Hospital for further care.

A letter found inside the pickup, from the Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, bore the name Chatchadapha Charoenjing with an address in Lang Suan district. Police were still working to confirm if the name belonged to the deceased woman.

The accident caused a two-hour delay for the Bangkok-bound train.
