A Muay Thai instructor from Pattaya tragically drowned after his motorcycle accidentally plunged into a canal in the Sri Racha district.
On September 15th, Nong Kham police were alerted to the discovery of a body in a public canal along Highway 331, near a Caltex gas station in the Nong Kham sub-district, Chonburi province. Authorities, along with local rescue teams, immediately arrived at the scene to investigate.
Rescue workers revealed that the victim was a middle-aged Muay Thai instructor from Pattaya. It is believed that while attempting to start his motorcycle, he accidentally fell into the roadside canal. The strong current swept him into a drainage pipe, where he disappeared. Rescue teams were unable to locate him until the next day, when his body was recovered. The victim was identified as 49-year-old Mr. Nikhom Sirithammachak. His body was retrieved and transferred to a local hospital for religious services.
A friend of Mr. Nikhom stated that he had just finished work and was on his way home before the accident occurred.
