Chonburi police, in collaboration with immigration officers and relevant authorities, raided a residence in Na Jomtien under a Pattaya court warrant, in connection with an Indian call scam operation. The raid was prompted by reports that several Indian nationals were residing at the property and suspected of engaging in illegal activities. Initial investigations confirmed the group’s involvement in a call center scam operating from Thailand. A 20-year-old Indian man claimed ownership of the residence, while 23 other Indian men were found at the scene, along with over 20 computers. All individuals were taken to the Na Jomtien police station for interrogation, though the police withheld their names. Further questioning revealed that 12 of the men had entered Thailand illegally, while the remaining 12 were charged with failing to report their temporary residence changes within the required 24-hour period.
