Rescuers found no survivors at the site of a small plane crash in Chachoengsao on Thursday after an 11-hour search operation.

According to the flight tracking site FL360aero, the Thai Flying Service Cessna Caravan C208 (HS-SKR), carrying nine people, departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Samut Prakan at 2:46 PM, heading for Ko Mai Chee Airport in Trat. The aircraft reportedly lost contact with the Suvarnabhumi control tower around 3:00 PM.

The crash occurred at 3:18 PM behind Wat Khao Din in Bang Pakong district.

The wreckage was discovered in the mud within a mangrove forest near the temple. Rescuers found women’s clothing and a photograph of three foreign women at the site. Using pumps to drain water and backhoe trucks to excavate mud approximately 10 meters deep and 8 meters wide, they located several human body parts during the search.

Chachoengsao Governor Chonlatee Yangtrong reported that by 2:00 AM on Friday, it was presumed that all nine people onboard had perished in the crash.

The victims included five Chinese nationals: Zhang Jingjing, 12; Zhang Jing, 43; Tang Yu, 42; Yin Jinfeng, 45; and Yin Hang, 13.

The two Thai flight attendants were Napak Jirasiri, 35, and Siriyupa Arunatid, 26. The pilot was Flt Lt Anucha Dechapirakchon, 61, and the co-pilot was Pornsak Totab, 30.
