The incident occurred near Highway 44 (Surat Thani-Krabi Road), where officers from Ban Naderm Police Station and the Ban Naderm Rescue Foundation were called to assist the man. The cow, owned by a local resident, had been tied to a wooden pole when it repeatedly attacked the 35-year-old foreigner, who was found naked.
Witnesses reported that the man tried to fend off the cow by grabbing its horns but was eventually flung aside. Rescuers managed to pull him to safety just as the cow was about to charge again. The cow’s owner was summoned to the scene to calm the animal.
Despite the attack, police reported that the man did not appear to have any visible wounds or bruises. However, he was unable to communicate with the officers and became increasingly agitated. He was taken to Ban Naderm Hospital for evaluation but refused medical examination or treatment and left the hospital shortly afterward. Police were unable to question him or conduct a drug test.
A witness told the media that the man had initially stopped at the scene due to a punctured motorcycle tire. He then wandered into the roadside forest, where locals later found him naked and being attacked by the cow.
The rescue team speculated that the man might have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs and may have attempted to engage in inappropriate behavior with the animal before the incident occurred.
