Lamine Yamal’s Father Stabbed in Car Park Incident

Lamine Yamal’s Father Stabbed in Car Park Incident

Mounir Nasraoui, the father of Spanish football sensation Lamine Yamal, has been hospitalized after being stabbed in a car park last night, according to reports.

The 35-year-old was in the Spanish town of Mataro when the incident occurred around 9:10 PM local time. As reported by Spanish outlet La Vanguardia, witnesses indicated that Nasraoui was walking his dog when he became involved in an argument with a group of individuals, leading to a confrontation in which he was stabbed multiple times.

He was transported to Can Ruti hospital by ambulance in serious condition, but reports from Relevo and Mundo Deportivo later confirmed that he is now “out of danger.”

Local authorities have arrested three suspects on charges of attempted murder and are appealing for witnesses to help clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. Footage of the confrontation has been released showing Nasraoui being led away by police.

Seventeen-year-old Lamine Yamal made headlines at the European Championships, becoming the youngest player to compete and score in the tournament, contributing to Spain’s victory over England in the final. Nasraoui has been a strong supporter of his son’s career, previously expressing that Yamal could be “greater than Lionel Messi.”

Originally from Morocco, Nasraoui still resides in the Rocafonda neighborhood of Mataro, where Yamal grew up. He had aspirations of becoming a professional footballer but did not succeed in achieving that dream. Nasraoui has followed his son’s journey closely, proudly witnessing him help Spain win the Euros earlier this summer.
