A woman driver escaped unscathed when her brand-new BMW veered off a curve and struck a power pole in Phimai district on Monday morning.
The accident occurred at 6:49 AM on Phimai-Chumphuang Road in tambon Rangka Yai. CCTV footage captured the white BMW with red plates approaching the curve at high speed. As the car’s base scraped the tarmac, sparks flew before it veered off the road, spun, and collided with a roadside power pole.
The driver, identified as 39-year-old Orakan Petsamrit, a local resident of tambon Rangka Yai, was unharmed but visibly shaken. A witness transported her to Phimai Hospital.
Police have yet to question her and determine the exact cause of the accident.
