At the site, a grey Honda PCX motorcycle was found overturned with significant front-end damage. Nearby, two Thai men, both appearing intoxicated and with head injuries, were lying in the street. Their identities were withheld by police pending an ongoing investigation. Further down the street, rescuers found a black Honda Click motorcycle lying on its side with damage. The rider, 27-year-old Chinese tourist Mr. Tan Han, suffered minor abrasions, while his passenger, 40-year-old Mr. Jin Tao, also a Chinese national, sustained knee injuries and abrasions.
Rescue workers administered first aid before transporting all the injured individuals to a nearby hospital.
According to friends of the Chinese tourists, they were returning to their accommodation when, while exiting Soi Boonkanjana 4 and entering Soi Boonkanjana 5, the other motorcycle, allegedly traveling at high speed, crashed head-on into their vehicle, causing injuries.
