A 29-year-old man drove his pickup truck hastily, leading to a collision, rollover, and crash at the BTS Krung Thonburi station. The vehicle suffered extensive damage, and the driver tragically lost his life at the scene. His father disclosed that he had been assaulted the previous night.
On April 28, at 7:00 AM, Police Lieutenant Colonel Thaworn Prapansart, an investigator from the Samrong Police Station, received a report about a pickup truck flipping over and crashing at the Bangkok Thonburi Railway Station on Krung Thonburi Road, Khlong Ton Sai Sub-district, Khlong San District, Bangkok. He promptly arrived at the scene for examination, accompanied by volunteers from a charitable foundation and medical personnel from Chulalongkorn Hospital.
At the location, they found an Isuzu D-Max pickup truck with the license plate 2กฮ1563 from Bangkok in a wrecked condition. Inside the vehicle, they located the body of a deceased individual named Thanakorn (last name withheld), aged 29. Officials used cutting tools to extract the body from the vehicle. The deceased was wearing a navy blue football jersey, black and white shorts, with bruises on both sides of the neck and ankles. When questioned, Mr. Pudit (last name withheld), the deceased’s father, mentioned that his son had been physically assaulted the night before and was heading to meet with the police.
Earlier that morning around 5:00 AM, investigators from the Phaholyothin Police Station had called him for further questioning related to a previous case. The deceased had left his home near the Victory Monument area at 5:00 AM before the accident took place. The investigators instructed officials to send the body for a preliminary examination at Chulalongkorn Hospital before allowing the relatives to proceed with the funeral arrangements.
