A man from Italy, age 34, died on this morning when he fell from the Sanam Pao BTS Station in Bangkok’s Phaya Thai area.
A police officer from Phaya Thai said the man fell near the entrance ramp of the skytrain stop on Phahon Yothin Road. The area is close to the 2nd Cavalry Division, the King’s Guard. The cops were told about his fall around 8 a.m.
The dead man was dressed in jeans, shoes, a T-shirt, and a green jacket that was tied around his waist.
While emergency workers tried to revive him but failed, cops directed morning rush hour traffic around the scene.
People had seen the man on the skytrain station since 6 a.m., and Pol Capt Charoen said he died when he jumped.
It was told to the Italian mission.
The body of the guy was taken to Ramathibodi Hospital so that it could be burned. Police were looking at footage from security cameras in the area.
