Large-scale E-cigarette Seizure in Thailand

E-cigarettes, E-liquids, and other equipment totaling 60,500 units valued at over 10 million Baht were seized by Thai Anti Trafficking In Persons (ATP) agents from a private distribution center in Bang Pa-in, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.
An anonymous informant reportedly informed the police that there was a contraband smuggling operation including the smuggling of E-cigarettes, E-liquids, and other equipment from overseas to a private distribution center, according to the ATP officers’ report. The relevant police subsequently requested permission to view the purported products from the private distribution location.
Following the police search, 29 boxes of disputed property comprising electronic cigarettes, e-liquids, and other equipment valued at over 10 million baht were discovered.

The ATP officers seized the disputed property as evidence and pledged to conduct additional research to identify and prosecute those responsible for the crimes.
