An investigating team at Bangkok’s Bang Sue Police Station detained two Chinese clothing dealers, Mr. Ka Sin Chan, 28, and Mr. Chor Lung Lui, 19. In Chatuchak Plaza in Bangkok, the investigative team also found a kilogram of heroin hidden within fictitious clothes boxes.
The two Chinese clothes merchants had requested the shipment of 18 garment cartons to Australia, according to a report the investigating police officers had previously received from an unnamed transportation officer. But Mr. Chan and Mr. Lui acted hurriedly and suspiciously. The transportation officer then requested security to arrest them before informing the appropriate police authorities about the events.
During their investigation, police discovered heroin concealed in 18 boxes that had been wrapped in black paper to seem like packages containing apparel.
Following a search of the accused defendants’ condominium in the Makkasan neighborhood, the investigating officers found 2 kilograms of methamphetamine.
To hold the two suspects accountable for their acts, the police will pursue additional legal actions. As of publication time, the suspects had not made a statement or entered a plea.
