A number of improvements are planned for a location close to Jomtien Beach by Pattaya City, with a complete closure of the work zone anticipated. In order to discuss a development project that will take place close to Jomtien Beach in September 2023, the Provincial Waterworks Authority, the Regional Electricity Authority, and representatives of beach umbrella vendors met with the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya, Kiattisak Sriwongchai, at a council meeting on August 4.
According to Kiattisak, the project’s goal was to improve the Jomtien Beach scenery, which included making improvements to the seaside road and completely closing off the construction area to protect everyone’s safety.
However, there will still be two operating lanes, warning signs, and traffic officers to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Four phases make up the project, including:
landscaping, underground electrical system, and drainage improvements between Family Mart to Dong Tan Office and Pattaya police station.
improvement to the landscaping and lighting along the street from Family Mart to the Deva Beach Resort Hotel.
Improvements to the landscaping, sidewalk, and trees from the Deva Beach Resort Hotel to Soi Jomtien 19.
In front of the Deva Beach Resort Hotel, a drainage facility is being constructed.
The project’s completion date has not yet been made public.
Residents of Jomtien will probably be annoyed by the announcement of yet another road construction project, but Pattaya City officials claim it is required despite a brief inconvenience for infrastructure improvements.
