Officers from Chonburi’s Banglamung police station apprehended a Thai guy who had more than 70,000 methamphetamine pills at his home in Rayong province, south of Pattaya. The man’s child watched the arrest and begged the cops to let her father go, promising to be a nice kid in exchange.
Mr. Pathompong Laksukthom, 27, was detained for carrying illegal substances on Friday, July 28th, by Banglamung police officers commanded by superintendent Pol Col Nawin Sinthurat.
Following a tip from a police informant, the arrest was carried out at a residence in Rayong’s Nikhom Phatthana district. Pathompong was busted with 71,945 speed pills, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia.
The operation, according to Pol Col Nawin, was part of the Royal Thai Police’s nationwide policy to combat all sorts of crime. Following this endeavor, the police launched an investigation and discovered that Pathompong was secretly trafficking drugs throughout Rayong province and its surrounding areas.
The cops then enticed Pathompong to meet them by ordering 2,000 meth pills. After noticing the police at the meeting point, the suspect attempted but failed to drive away.
A heartbreaking scenario occurred during a search of Pathompong’s home when his three-year-old daughter discovered that her father was about to be taken away. She reportedly broke into tears and begged the detaining officers, saying,“Please don’t take my daddy away. I love him, and I promise to study hard if you help my daddy.”
The officers were affected by the young girl’s impassioned plea. They tried to console her and tenderly kissed her cheeks before returning to their jobs.
Despite hearing and witnessing the heartbreaking incident, the officers had to perform their duties. The police formally accused Pathompong with distribution of Type 1 narcotic narcotics (methamphetamine) and took him into custody together with the evidence gathered.
The police are currently handing over the case to the Nikhom Phatthana police station to proceed with legal processes in accordance with the law.
