A group of motorcyclists in the northern Thai province of Loei June 28, 2019 replaced their modified exhaust pipes with standard pipes that emit low noise levels, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
At a meeting with local police, the motorcyclists agreed to keep the noise level at no more than 90 decibels. They later installed new exhaust pipes with the help of local mechanics.
All old exhaust pipes will be destroyed in August.
