At the May 25 meeting at City Hall, Pattaya City Councilman Bunjong Bantoonprayuk voiced his worries regarding the installation of street lights in Central Pattaya’s delayed development. He stressed the harm done to the local population and visitors, and he asked the officials to take fast action.
Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai highlighted the importance of the project and the significant delays it has encountered.
He ascribed the difficulties to the COVID-19 outbreak, which made it difficult to coordinate with contractors, and the impediment posed by some local business owners.
Deputy Mayor Manot gave Bunjong and the council assurances that the administration and related departments are committed to quickly addressing the issues and successfully completing the project.
He acknowledged that there are still unresolved problems, such as the need to construct 15 street lights because of company owners’ encroachment.
Contracts in the impacted areas have been terminated as a result of this difficulty. In order to bring relief to the afflicted neighborhoods, the municipal administration is committed to removing the last obstacles and hastening the installation of street lights.
The project is anticipated to be successfully finished by July, safeguarding the community’s safety and the wellbeing of visitors to Central Pattaya.
