According to CEO Greg Norman, LIV Golf is thinking about establishing a women’s circuit and has contacted players in the United States and Europe.
The inaugural match on the LIV men’s tour, which was sponsored by Saudi Arabia, took place in June near London in 2022.
A number of well-known athletes joined LIV from the PGA Tour, including Bryson DeChambeau, the 2020 US Open champion.

The first LIV event in Australia, which begins on Friday, is being held in Adelaide where Norman was speaking.
The Chevron Championship, the first women’s major of the year, gets underway in Texas on Thursday.
Future of LIV Golf in focus
Among the athletes who have signed up with LIV Golf are the Men’s Open champion Cameron Smith, the 2021 US PGA Championship victor Phil Mickelson, and four-time major champion Brooks Koepka.
While DP World Tour was allowed to penalize players who participated in LIV events without permission, an arbitration panel last month determined that LIV players had been suspended from the PGA Tour for an indefinite period of time.
The DP World Tour and the Ryder Cup in Europe may now exclude LIV athletes like Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood.
Majority shareholder in LIV is Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which has been charged with using sport to “sportswash” the country’s brand abroad.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman serves as the PIF’s chairman. According to a declassified US intelligence report published in February 2021, Bin Salman was involved in the murder of critical Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Bin Salman has refuted this accusation.
