Songkran begins this week in Pattaya, and thousands from Thailand and around the world are preparing to celebrate and party! It has been four long years since Songkran, which took place in Pattaya in 2019 and allowed for waterfights, concerts, festivals, parties, and parades. Due to worries about Covid-19, the holiday was scaled back to only religious and traditional events in 2022.
With those worries largely forgotten, the gates have been opened, and water has already begun in several parts of Pattaya as of this post, and will continue this week and through April 19th next week!
