The Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is a six and a half acre beachfront property between Pattaya and the fishing village of Bang Saray, with an opening date in the first quarter of 2023.
The gardens and fully grown trees, notably the welcome rain tree, have been preserved for the project. Thai teakwood homes that have been on the property for more than 70 years have been completely restored, and the resort has been designed using natural, locally sourced materials and handmade arts and crafts.
The 204 guestrooms and suites at the resort feature walk-in rain showers, balconies or terraces with daybeds, and are located in clusters around the gardens. The Pool Suites allow visitors to cool down with a private dip at any time of day, while the Beachfront Suites are situated on the sand and offer direct access to the resort pool. A six-bedroom Presidential Heritage House and a duplex four-bedroom Manor House were created from two historic homes. These all feature butler service, private pools, courtyards, and views of the ocean.
There are six F&B locations at the resort. La Cucina is an Italian trattoria; Village Butcher is a steakhouse; and Fish Club is a seaside restaurant where sustainably sourced seafood is cooked over a coconut husk grill. Wok Wok serves Thai and Asian cuisine. Chefs will select local spices and herbs from the organic garden on site.
The arrival courtyard at Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach features a rain tree court, the Teak Lounge, where guests may relax with a drink under a canopy of leaves, and Ruen Thai, a traditional teahouse with indoor and outdoor seating. Intimate parties may be held in this heritage building’s two levels of restoration. The 3,229 square foot Garden Pavilion, which can accommodate larger gatherings, has floor to ceiling windows, an outside patio, and a demonstration kitchen.
Three swimming pools will be available at the resort: a beachfront pool, a freeform family pool next to the kids’ club, and a lap pool. Visitors can indulge in relaxing massages using organic skincare products at the Panpuri Spa. A yoga room and a fitness center are further amenities.
It’s good to know that sustainability is included throughout the resort; rainwater is collected and used to maintain the gardens’ freshness, and energy use is decreased through motion-activated LED lighting and intelligent AC systems. Andaz has a no single-use plastic policy and exclusively uses foods from farms that are operated ethically.
The Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is close to the city’s well-known attractions. Bangkok is a two-hour drive away. U-Tapao Airport is about 20 minutes away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 90 minutes away.
