A MAN is fighting for life and two others were injured in a triple shooting outside a barber’s shop in East London.
Police were scrambled to reports of a shooting in Upton Lane, Forest Gate, just before 7pm yesterday.
Three men were rushed to hospital with gunshot injuries – with one of the victims also suffering stab injuries.
One remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital, police confirmed.
The injuries of the other two men have been described as non life-threatening.
A crime scene remains in place and inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Cops are still hunting a number of suspects and no arrests have been made.
The shooting is not being treated as a terrorism incident, police said.
A Section 60 has been authorised for the borough of Newham until 3pm tonight giving officers increased stop and search powers.
The Met tweeted: “#UPDATE | Police were called at 18:59hrs to reports of a shooting in Upton Lane, E7.
“Three men were found with gunshot injuries and taken to hospital. No arrests at this early stage.
“As a result of this incident a Section 60 has been authorised for the borough of #Newham. It applies until 3pm on Saturday and gives officers increased stop and search powers to help prevent further violence.
“One of the three men remains in a critical condition while two others have been assessed as non life-threatening.
“An urgent investigation is under way and we’ll issue a further appeal when initial work has been completed.”
