Awards season came to a close last night in Los Angeles as the Oscars were held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The biggest stars of Tinseltown and beyond assembled for a right royal knee up as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences dished out the Academy Awards in front of a global audience.
Parasite was the big winner of the night with four Oscars for Best Picture, Directing, Original Screenplay, and International Film. After going into the awards hot favourite, Sir Sam Mendes’ 1917 won three awards for Cinematography, Visual Effects, and Sound Mixing.
