The governor of the northern Thai province of Lampang yesterday (March 18, 2019) signed an order to close down a pub for selling alcoholic drinks to clients under the age of 20, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
The shutdown followed a police raid on ‘Khun Chang Pub” where four male clients under the age of 20 were found drinking alcohol.
Thai law bars people under the age of 20 from consuming alcohol in public places. Owners of bars and pubs that sell alcoholic drinks to these young people face four months in jail.
