Six homeless persons were dragged from an abandoned building in South Pattaya by city security guards, who then took them to a shelter in Chonburi in the hopes they wouldn’t return.
The six men and women were taken out of the building on Soi 13/4 and given to the Chonburi Protection Center for the Destitute after neighbors complained about rubbish being placed around it.The refuge provides short-term housing, rehabilitation, and job training. However, all of the services are optional, and residents are free to leave at any time.
They frequently do, according to Pattaya officials, and typically go back to the area they were expelled from.
Officials in Pattaya stated that they want the homeless to return to their families or relatives.
