A woman was struck by an electric motorcycle while crossing Pattaya Beach Road on her phone, resulting in three people being injured.
Pattaya police were notified of a traffic accident on Pattaya Beach Road in Central Pattaya. Authorities quickly coordinated with Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue volunteers and rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found a green electric motorcycle overturned and damaged in the middle of the road. The injured driver, 37-year-old Mr. Thongkham Phutthet, was found with injuries including pain in his left arm and a cut lip. His 18-year-old female passenger had minor abrasions, while the pedestrian, 40-year-old Ms. Wasana Nontasen, sustained a head injury and pain in her left arm.
Rescue workers administered first aid to all the injured before transporting them to a nearby hospital.
Mr. Thongkham, the motorcycle driver, explained that he was riding along the beach road when the pedestrian, distracted by her phone, suddenly stepped into the street, cutting directly in front of him.
The police are continuing to investigate the incident.
