WALKING STREET WITNESSING ITS BIGGEST RE-MODELIN

South Pattaya’s walking street will soon witness its biggest re-modeling.

The overtop hanging wires in Thailand have created havoc in many situation and it’s now time to clean up the mess. Works have already begun and four major cities – Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Korat and Pattaya are in the loop. Within a budget of 11.6 billion, burying wires underground have already begun.

The budget has been distributed amongst the concerned cities, where, Pattaya is receiving 3.1 billion for work on eight roads – with Walking Street being the fourth in line.

As per the Sophon’s report, Work on Sukhumvit, North and Central Pattaya is now about 50% complete.

By 2021, a total of 46 kilometers of wires will have been buried in Pattaya.

This wire mess was considered only after Bill Gates took some pictures of the mess created by the wires and commented on the problem.
