Vientiane will stop its walk-in visa as from 1st February 2019.
So from now on, if you come alone or book through an agency you will get turned away and would have wasted your money. From now on, visa applicants will only be accepted on-line to which you will be sent a number, time and appointment day to come to extend your visa.
The reason behind this is so that queuing is less and not so many people milling around the embassy.
