Two rangers injured in grenade attack in Yala

Two rangers were slightly injured when insurgents fired M70 grenades at their post in Yala’s Bannang Sata district on Monday night.

 

The attack happened at 6.05am at the post of 33rd Ranger Regiment’s Company 3311 in Ban Bacho village in Tambon Bacho of Bannang Sata district.

Rangers exchanged gunfire with the insurgents briefly before they fled.

Cpl Thoranin Insuan and Pvt Witthaya Sriraksa were injured by shrapnel from the grenades. They were sent to the Bannang Sata Hospital.
