Reports have emerged of a pair of tourists allegedly caught engaging in sexual activity on Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand, an area renowned for its red light district, featuring go-go bars, massage parlors, and a vibrant nightlife scene. While the nationalities of the individuals involved have not yet been disclosed, the incident reportedly occurred on the notorious beach on April 16.
Footage and images of the incident were shared by The Phuket Times, which condemned the couple’s behavior and called on authorities to address what appears to be a recurring issue in the area. This isn’t the first time such an incident has occurred, as another couple was caught engaging in a similar act on the same beach at midnight on February 24, documented by a passing motorcyclist.
In the footage, the man, dressed in black shorts, and the woman, wearing no clothes, were observed for approximately one and a half minutes, seemingly disregarding Thai decency laws. The motorcyclist who recorded the scene reported that the couple showed no regard for passersby and continued their intimate session despite the presence of others in the area. He also remarked that such actions tarnish the positive image of Phuket tourism.
Despite various online accounts describing Patong as “sleazy,” such as Thavorn Beach Village’s website labeling it as a red light district, Phuket remains one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations, with British tourists often being among the most prominent groups.
