Tourist injured after hand impaled by wire ropes

A rescue team quickly responded to assist Mr. Philippe Leoncuan Damme, a 61-year-old Belgian tourist, who sustained injuries when a wire rope pierced through his left wrist and penetrated his palm for approximately 10 centimeters. Rescuers utilized a cutting tool to free the victim before transporting him to the hospital.

The incident occurred in the Bang Lamung district on Wednesday night. Subsequently, an investigative reporter assessed the scene and discovered that the wire rope, consisting of sharp strands, had not been removed from the sidewalk. Considering that the location is frequently visited by tourists throughout the day, it poses a significant danger.
