The Thai Meteorological Department warned on Wednesday that a tropical storm might bring thundershowers and strong winds to upper Thailand until Monday (May 15).

The government also warned people in upper Thailand to keep away from big trees and unattended billboards as hailstorms, lightning, and severe rainfall are predicted in several locations during this time. Additionally, it suggested against using smartphones and donning metal jewelry during thundershowers.

Farmers need to be ready for harm to their crops and cattle.Up until Monday, the department predicted scattered thundershowers and heavy rain in the South. In thundershowers, the Andaman Sea’s waves may reach two meters and even higher.

The department added that vessels should proceed with caution and tiny ones should remain ashore. The government also advised that people in the South should be cautious of flash floods and runoffs caused by heavy rain.
