Thai police arrest alleged Korean fraudster hiding in Pattay

A joint operation by several divisions of the Thai police has resulted in the arrest of an alleged South Korean fraudster wanted in his home country.
A warrant had earlier been issued for Kim Wung, 38, in Seoul in the matter of thousands of BB Electronic face masks. Kim was a manager, adviser and advertising executive at You and Art Co Ltd in the South Korean capital before he came to Thailand.
Prosecutors said he failed to return money amounting to 2.8 billion won or 75 million baht.
He was arrested by Chonburi police in liaison with Pattaya, Immigration and Tourist police in the resort. He was nabbed at Lumpiniville on Monday.
He denies everything.
He will be deported to face the charges in South Korea. DM – EP
