There was a serious traffic accident on Road 331 inbound to Sattahip near Pattaya. It involved a collision between a sidecar motorcycle and a sedan driven by a Kuwaiti tourist.
On February 15th, 2024, rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation responded to the accident and found a blue Honda Wave 110 sidecar motorcycle. The vehicle was heavily damaged, with the sidecar severely mangled and shattered glass around the area. The driver, Mr. Suk Aoykam, 64, suffered severe injuries including a large head wound and a nearly severed right leg. He was provided immediate first aid and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The other vehicle involved was a white Toyota Cross sedan driven by Mr. Mohammad Fmaalsaad, a 39-year-old Kuwaiti national. The car sustained damage to its left front side. Mr. Mohammad cooperated with authorities at the scene but did not provide a statement to the press.
According to eyewitness Mr. Keng Muangpan, 43, the sidecar motorcycle was traveling in the left lane when it attempted to make a U-turn by crossing into the right lane. However, the motorcycle accidentally cut in front of the oncoming Toyota Cross, resulting in the collision.
