Pattaya City officials have taken preventive measures to handle the flooding problem as the monsoon season and regular thunderstorms continue to wreak havoc in the city. The city provided sandbags to homeowners and business owners along Soi Bua Khao in central Pattaya in collaboration with the municipal public health office.
Dilok Thongnak, accompanied by municipal public health officers, arrived at Soi Bua Khao. On July 24, a truckload of sandbags arrived to ensure that each affected household and company received the appropriate flood prevention sandbags to protect their properties.
“The impact of heavy rains and thunderstorms on our communities cannot be ignored,” said Dilok Thongnak, a city councilor. “Flooding endangers both residential areas and businesses, and we must act now to protect our people and their livelihoods.”
Residents and business owners can get further help by calling the Pattaya Call Center (1337), which has been set up as a dedicated hotline for enquiries and additional sandbag requests. Authorities are asking everyone to remain attentive and take the appropriate steps to avoid floods during the ongoing rainy season.
