At 3:30 AM on June 18th, a group of three go-go club security personnel allegedly beat a Russian tourist on Walking Street for allegedly refusing to pay for the beverages he had ordered. Mr. Oleg Rusovsiannikov, a 33-year-old Russian tourist who was attacked, sustained facial swelling, bruising, and severe bleeding.He was helped by Pattaya Police after he was allegedly attacked at 3:30 AM today on Pattaya Walking Street by a group of two to three go-go bar security guards.
When the cops arrived, Oleg was surrounded by a number of acquaintances and friends. He was transported to the Pattaya Police Station where he gave a formal statement while being translated into Russian. There were some linguistic hurdles in the situation, and he did not immediately issue a statement to the media.
Go-go venue guards apparently got into a fight with the Russian man on Walking Street because he allegedly refused to pay for the beverages he had ordered, according to Pattaya law enforcement authorities who saw the incident. The amount of his bill and the explanation for his refusal to pay were not made public to the media. The venue guards apparently pursued Oleg into Walking Street after he reportedly forced his way out of the building.
Thereafter, there was a contentious verbal exchange that eventually resulted in the claimed assault.The Pattaya Police are looking into the incident’s circumstances and whether the man actually refused to accept the payment. They’ll summon everyone who was involved in the incident so they can face prosecution.
Pattaya police urged gogo and nightclub operators to notify authorities right away if a patron refuses to pay a bill in order to prevent additional conflict and to never, ever, under any scenario physically assault a patron.
