Rider Dies in Collision with Truck

A Lineman food delivery rider was killed after colliding with an 18-wheeler on Motorway Route 7 inbound to Chonburi. According to officials, speed was the likely cause of the accident.

The accident happened yesterday afternoon, August 9th, near kilometer marker 113+900 in the Nong Pla Lai sub-district of Banglamung district.

A charity rescue center escorted the police as they arrived on the scene to assist the victim.

When they arrived, they discovered a white Honda Wave 125i motorcycle stuck in the back of a truck. The motorcycle’s front end was severely damaged. In addition, a deceased person was discovered wearing a Lineman’s uniform, but no indication of their identity was revealed.

The person died on their motorcycle after receiving serious head injuries. Police questioned Mr. Winai Klahann, a truck driver involved in the incident, who was 35 years old.

Winai claimed to be transporting waste from Pattaya to a power station in Sa Kaeo. He was traveling in the left lane when the victim collided with him from behind.

According to preliminary police investigations, the delivery man may have been traveling at a high speed, potentially over 100 kilometers per hour, as indicated by the odometer reading on his truck. His body was transported to Banglamung Hospital for further arrangements.
