Pharmacy Raided for Selling Unregistered Drugs
A pharmacy in Pattaya was discovered selling unregistered drugs and employing a 17-year-old to distribute them, according to police reports.

Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn, Superintendent of the Tourist Police Sub-Division 4, along with officials from the Chonburi Provincial Public Health Office, conducted a sting operation targeting a pharmacy in Pattaya. The pharmacy was suspected of illegally selling unregistered and controlled substances.

The operation was initiated following complaints from local residents, who reported that the pharmacy was selling medications without the required licenses and using unlicensed personnel, rather than certified pharmacists, to handle the sales. Acting on this, authorities planned the sting operation at a store located on Laem Bali Hai Road.

An undercover agent was given ten marked 100-baht bills and sent into the pharmacy to purchase drugs, while the arrest team waited nearby. Once the agent exited with the drugs, which were confirmed as dangerous substances under the 1967 Drug Act, the police moved in and apprehended those involved.

A 17-year-old female employee (name withheld due to her age) was arrested, and a significant amount of unregistered drugs was seized. The individual responsible for hiring the minor and overseeing the illegal drug sales was also taken into custody. Both suspects and the confiscated drugs were sent to Pattaya Police Station for further legal proceedings.
