At least two people were killed and numerous more were hurt in a shooting in central Paris.
Friday’s shooting near a Kurdish cultural center in Paris left two people dead and four others injured, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Panic was caused by numerous gunshots that were fired in the 10th arrondissement of the capital’s Rue d’Enghien, a street packed with modest stores and cafes. Several ambulances were present, and armed police patrolled a tight perimeter, according to live television footage.

Police did not disclose the shooter’s intentions.
According to one witness, seven or eight shots were fired, according to the French news agency AFP. Speaking to BFM TV, a second witness claimed that the alleged shooter was a white male who started firing silently.
