I saw this article this morning and had to post it. As we all aware, now seems to be the time to help others that are less able and raise money for charity. The Night Wish Group are no exception to this as they have managed to raise over 600.000 for the Boon Choo Home for Special Children.
This staggering amount has come from Customers, friends, staff and owners of the Night Wish Group.
Boxes containing money from all the bars in the NWG and also La La Land’s box (independently owned) that had 32,000 inside were picked up by NWG founder Bryan Flowers, Chompu, Gary Vokes and Fernando and bought to the Exotica Bar in Soi 6 (which is closed at the moment due to regulations) so that the owner of Boon Choo and her staff could then count the money.
A whopping 640,694 had been counted up and given to the Boon Choo home for Special Needs. As the money had been counted By the staff at Boon Choo, then we can confirm that 100% of the money has gone to the charity.
Speaking to Bryan, he had told me that since the start of the year, these locked charity boxes have been in the bars and the NWG was trying to get to the goal of 3 million baht when the COVI-19 virus took over forcing bars to close thus freezing the donations.
As many people know, helping others less able and giving to a good cause such as special needs children is important, so many customers etc came together to help.
Teacher at Boon Choo stated that the donation has really helped in these troubled times and now this encourages the staff at Teacher BoonChoo home.
During the COVID-19 crisis there were fewer donations than before, she added and by Night Wish releasing the total amount raised so far they ensure the children and home are able to weather this crisis
NWG has said that they will continue to campaign and raise money when the bars are back open as they want to exceed their goal of 3 million which in itself is an amazing result if they can do this. We wish them all the luck in the world.
Teacher Boonchoo home for special children is located at 117/1 Moo 5, Plu Taluang, Sattahip, Chonburi or Tel. 089-8095279 for those who may wish to directly assist them during this time. The Home is closed to visitors during Covid19 but staff can accept donations at the entrance or give bank account information over the phone.
