By simultaneously performing the Thai greeting (wai) and uttering “Sawasdee” (hello), or “Welcome to Thailand), with 500 participants, Legend Siam Pattaya has established a new Guinness World Record.
On April 12th, 2023, at Legend Siam Pattaya, the record was formally set. The “Thailand Showroom” project, which aims to build a sustainable community by showcasing local knowledge and traditions from every province in Thailand through art, culture, costumes, and goods, is what Mrs. Siriya Thepcharoen, President of Nusa Legend Siam Pattaya Co., Ltd, told The Pattaya News was behind the event.By showcasing the best of Thailand’s 77 provinces, this event aims to promote Thai culture and goods around the world. As a way to showcase the distinction of Thai culture and extend a warm welcome to guests, it also featured the ceremony that broke the record for the most simultaneous Thai traditional wai with over 500 participants.
