Nabil Anane is quickly back in action after securing his place among the top five in the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai rankings. Less than two months after his impressive victory over two-time title challenger Felipe Lobo, the 6ft 4in Thai-Algerian fighter will take on Myanmar’s Soe Lin Oo at ONE Lumpinee 81 on September 27.
Anane has stormed to the No. 3 spot in the divisional rankings, riding a remarkable four-fight win streak that includes victories over Nakrob Fairtex, Muangthai PK Saenchai, Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, and Lobo. His win over Lobo earlier this month at ONE Fight Night 24 showcased his striking prowess as he outperformed “The Demolition Man” over three rounds, solidifying his status among the bantamweight elite.
Meanwhile, Soe Lin Oo, known as “Man of Steel,” is a superstar in Myanmar, having notched three consecutive knockouts in his first three appearances at ONE Lumpinee. He has secured a lucrative 3.5-million-baht contract with ONE Championship and will be eager to continue his success in his debut as a full member of the roster.
In addition to the main event, the card will feature a 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout between unbeaten British prospect Otis Waghorn and seasoned Thai veteran Suakim Sor Jor Thongprajin. Waghorn made a striking debut in June, coming back from a knockdown to stop Kongklai Sor Sommai in the third round.
Suakim, who has a mixed record of 2-2 in his ONE Lumpinee appearances, is fresh off a spectacular left-hook knockout of Turkey’s Deniz Demirkapu in April.
Also taking to the ring on September 27 are Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi and Suriyanlek Por Yenying, who will compete in a promising 133-pound catchweight Muay Thai match expected to deliver excitement.
